Subject:     ISSUES RELATED TO RECRUITMENT OF SANITARY WORKERS (BS-01) IN CITY DISTRICT GOVERNEMNTS/TEHSIL/TOWN MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATIONS IN THE PUNJAB

            The undersigned is directed to refer to the subject and to state that after issuing the instructions contained in this Department’s letter No. SO-ADMN-II(LG)3-55/2007 dated 03.03.2016 many references from the Tehsil/Town Municipal Administrations regarding fate of daily wages employees working in TMAS after expiry of 89 days were consistently pouring. The case has been examined in the LG&CD Department and the City District Governments and Tehsil/Town Municipal Administrations are hereby allowed to appoint Sanitary Workers (BS-01) on contract basis as per Government Contract Appointment Policy, 2004 against sanctioned posts in their respective Schedule of Establishment only according to the criteria/guidelines conveyed vide this Department’s circular letter referred above read with this Department’s instructions contained in circular letter No. SO-ADMN-II(LG)Misc/2015 dated 10.05.2016 (copy enclosed).

2.         The Sanitary Workers already working on daily wages/work charge basis may be given preference being experienced if otherwise they are eligible.
